Are there any registration markers left on the property?
No, if we do require to place markers (sometimes in long repetitive areas such as long office corridors) we will place paper markers as we go and remove them after.
How accurate is it?
Scanning is not only quick but also accurate enough to generate point clouds to within 1% and polygons for as-builts and construction documentation. (this is under normal operating conditions, abnormal temperatures and other factors may result in reduced accuracy.
Can I see a Sample Point Cloud or OBJ Polygon Mesh or Sketch Up File?

What does the Capture Process do?
The Matterport Pro2 3D Camera captures 2D photography and 3D data from job sites, and automatically stitches them into a complete, immersive 3D model of a real-world job site that you can share, annotate, and export point clouds to Autodesk ReCap® or Revit® or we can convert to sketchup.
How does it compare to Laser Scanners?
It is quicker than 3D laser scanning and more complete than handheld 3D scanners. It is also significantly less expensive and allows viewing in multiple media platforms. However there is still a place for Laser scanning in certain sectors of the construction industry where accuracy greater than 1% is desired, please speak to us and we can advise or refer to suit your needs.
How Long does it take to Capture?
We require 30 min to set up, understand the space and plan the scan, then each 360 sweep will take about 1 minute. The number of sweeps required will depend on how congested the space is with furniture or equipment but as a rough guide we expect to complete 70m² to 100² per hour. The captured space will be available for viewing the next day following processing.
